Flintoffs is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect through this website, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it.

For the purposes of UK GDPR, the data controller is Darren Flintoff, trading as Flintoffs.

What we collect

When you submit our contact form, we collect the information you provide: your name, email address, phone number (if given), the service you're interested in, and the details of your enquiry.

Why we collect it

We use this information solely to respond to your enquiry and discuss your potential project with you. We do not use it for marketing unless you separately opt in to that, and we do not sell or rent your data to third parties.

Legal basis for processing

We process your personal information under Article 6(1)(f) of the UK GDPR (Legitimate Interests), as responding to a direct enquiry you've chosen to send us is a reasonable and expected use of the information you provide for that purpose.

Third parties involved

Submitting the form involves two third-party services acting on our behalf:

• Cloudflare Turnstile -- verifies you're a real visitor rather than automated spam. Cloudflare is based in the United States and is certified under the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, recognised under UK GDPR as providing adequate protection. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
• Google Maps -- available on our Contact page to show our studio location. The map only loads if you click to view it; loading it may then allow Google to set its own cookies. See Google's privacy policy.
• Render -- hosts this website. Render is based in the United States and is certified under the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, recognised under UK GDPR as providing adequate protection. See Render's privacy policy.
• Google (Gmail) -- delivers your enquiry to our inbox. Google is based in the United States and is certified under the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, recognised under UK GDPR as providing adequate protection. See Google's privacy policy.

How long we keep it

We retain enquiry emails for as long as reasonably needed to respond to and follow up on your enquiry. If no project goes ahead, we delete enquiries after 12 months.

Cookies

We do not use analytics, advertising, or marketing cookies, and nothing on this site sets cookies automatically. The one exception is the Google Maps embed on our Contact page, which only loads -- and only then may set its own cookies, controlled by Google rather than us -- if you actively click to view it.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data, and to object to how it's processed. Because we rely on legitimate interests as our lawful basis, the right to data portability does not apply to the information covered by this policy. To exercise any of your rights, contact us using the details below -- we'll respond without undue delay, and in any event within one month.

You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's independent regulator for data protection, if you're unhappy with how we've handled your personal data. You can reach them at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.

We may update this policy from time to time, for example if we start using a new third-party service. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date at the top.
